I don't know how you can say the NIH is looking for entry and endpoints for LongCovid subsets - while it's ignoring ME/CFS biomarkers, previous ME/CFS External biomedical research, ME/CFS objective marker (2-Day CPET) in all of its research, and ME/CFS patient input. ME/CFS has 4 diagnostic blood tests in development - and NINDS refuses to fund an NIH funded American Technology from Esfandyarpour et al (2019) that could measure ME/CFS patients vs Healthy controls with 100% accuracy and refuses to call for set aside funding for ME/CFS biomarkers exclusively. The NIH has gone so far as to ask the investigators not to reapply for grants - even though according to this interview the NIH is looking to define LongCovid subsets. I don't think "Hey we found this test that can measure 1/2 LongCovid but we won't fund it to develop it more" is "looking"? Although of course, that's the Koroshetz (NINDS) definition of "looking" . ME/CFS patients now number 5-9 Million people in the U.S. alone, and are now bleeding the economy $362 Billion dollars a year according to the latest estimate- and yet the NIH is still spending only $13 Million dollars a year and ignoring existing ME/CFS biomedical research and leadership from American's greatest ME/CFS assets from Open Medicine Foundation (Dr. Ron W Davis), Poly Bio (Dr. Amy Proal), and Dr. Nancy Klimas, Dr. Todd Davenport, Dr. Alain Moreau. I would really like to see Dr. Marazzo draw on existing External ME/CFS research and leadership and allow the NIH to be guided by ME/CFS patients (including severe ME/CFS patients). Because currently, you will find ME/CFS patients have no trust in the NIH. Hope is with Dr. Ron W Davis at Open Medicine Foundation.

Yup. And can we make it so that patients and caregivers don't have to re-invent the wheel when each new one who wades into this world. There is more help online with fb groups with say, eighty people, giving you an answer about what happened in their case, than with medical professionals or organizations. Honestly. Combine and amalgamate knowledge. Coalition, instead of being "the one" with the answers or ideas. Work together! (Also, in the meantime, can we have a smoother way to report and sign up for help AND GET IT? Without hoops and hoops of administration we don't have time or concentration or FINDING the papers again and again for....I know that's not US Against Alzheimer's deal, but maybe someone reading can help take that up.) Cheers. Mr. Paulsen...when you said, "and you're talking about whether I can play a game of cards" (paraphrased). So right on point. The first thing our family md said about our LO was: I want to see you working on a puzzle next time I see you. I moved on in the search for help. ON MY OWN.

Admiral What??? She proudly wears that uniform but I find it insulting. I spent eight years In the US Navy and I was proud to serve because I love my country. I highly doubt She/He or whatever spent one second in the military. I was a petty officer second class and a interior communications electrician. It was very hard to advance because there were no billets available for me to advance to E-6 pay grade. How can she/he/it instantly become, excuse me but an Admiral? What qualifies her to wear that uniform? If a person is going to wear a military uniform, they have to have raised their right hand and be sworn in to be accepted into the military. Did she do that? I think not!!

Peter Sparks is talking about "good post market surveillance." I feel that voluntary reporting in the VAERS system is certainly not sufficient given the novelty of the technology. A very big cohort of vaccinated people should have been systematically followed-up right from the beginning This would have been very important considering the unusual number of worrying reports in VAERS. When Omicron appeared it was obvious that the vaccine was doing more harm than good and vaccination should have been immediately stopped. I do not understand why physicians were and still are not allowed to treat outpatients with safe and efficient repurposed drugs. In the end I wonder how many casualties the COVID medical policy has done while SARS-CoV-2 was let loose in the wild. I suppose there will come some class action against both the FDA and the pharmaceutical companies involved.

Two years ago when you wrote this it wasn't entirely clear why the FDA acted as they had, but with illuminating evidence since released, nearly all of which came after lawsuits and whistleblowers, I hope you now understand and recognize the pure corruption of trust and science aholes like Marks, et al., performed. This will not simply go away, as they had hoped, and their acts will go down in history as an extreme example of corruption.
